We are excited to welcome The Source Bulk Foods to Mayfair Village on Manly!
The Source Bulk Foods is changing the way Australians buy groceries.
Committed to nourishing families, the community and the planet, The Source Bulk Foods is deliberately different to the nation’s supermarket chains.
The most immediate difference is the package-it-yourself philosophy, which allows customers to scoop produce into brown paper bags, containers brought from home or in jars, purchased in store.
Long before it was trendy, The Source Bulk Foods has been plastic-bag free and a passionate supporter of the environment and the Zero Waste movement.
Founded in Mullumbimby in 2012 by husband and wife team Paul Medeiros and Emma Smith, The Source Bulk Foods has grown to become one of Australia’s most respected businesses, who is proud to support local suppliers and sustainable, ethical production.
Boasting more than 60 stores and an international presence in New Zealand, Singapore, Ireland and the United Kingdom. The Source Bulk Foods offer families thousands of high-quality whole foods, including organic, paleo, vegan friendly and gluten free products and re-usable household items including stainless steel lunchboxes and clothes pegs and beeswax wraps.
The Source Bulk Foods founders, Paul and Emma left their corporate lives in Sydney 13 years ago to start a family and purchased a small fruit and vegetable shop which would evolve into the company’s first store.
Very early on, the couple realized the importance of local provenance and sustainable consumption.
“Our business has heart. We are proud to offer our customers the best quality products at the best price, whilst doing our bit for the environment and actively supporting community initiatives,” Paul said.
“Our whole mantra is about going back to basics. We know our customers are very savvy and want to know where their food is from, which is something we really focus on delivering.
“When we started our journey in 2012, we never envisaged we’d be in the position we’re in today.
“We’re proud to support local communities and play a leading role in the Zero Waste movement and help other small business owners realise their dreams.”
